This working group deals with issues related to stellar atmospheres and stellar spectra, such as modelling techniques and the determination of astrophysical parameters in large surveys.

- WGB4 "kick-off meeting" 20 Nov 2009 (20 min, 11 people) - activities discussed:
- Tests of parameter/abundance methods for selected cool and hot stars
- Gather accurate observations for standard stars, e.g. IR spectra for cool stars, Halpha observations for hot (and cool) stars
- Involve providers of Gaia stellar spectral libraries
